Key Job Requirements:
- Significant experience conducting literature searching in health subject areas based on requested information with ability to organize, collate and summarize retrieved information
- Retrieve journal articles upon request
- Organize information in searchable form:
- Journal Article
- Output from scientific meetings (abstracts, notes, slides)
- Competitor information (from quarterly reports,calls)
- Scientific writing: aid in the preparation of journal articles, abstracts, posters and presentations
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience in scientific writing a plus
- Significant knowledge of health sciences literature and scholarly communication practices
- Experience conducting research and an understanding of evidence-based practices
- Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment or individually; able to lead as well as execute collaborative projects and take constructive input from multiple sources
- Adept at learning and working with technology and software packages
- Experience in conducting outreach and engagement efforts with internal and external colleagues
- Demonstrates evidence of self-motivation, intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with strong customer service orientation
- Excellent organizational skills, including time and project management
- Willingness to take initiative on research projects
Basic Requirements:
- American Library Association (ALA) accredited master’s degree in library science or library and information science (MLS or MLIS) or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a librarian liaison in an academic library, health sciences library, or health care setting or relevant organizational experience
- Possess an undergraduate or graduate degree in health sciences, medical, or related field
